A young woman returns home to clean her father's house after he has passed away. As she packs his old belongings and her past, her grief begins physically manifesting...in an unsettling way.
About
Born in Brazil, raised in the United States, and matured by a love for cinema, Nick is a first time filmmaker.
Despite serving as the president of Bowdoin College's film society, and working full time as an admaker for progressive causes and candidates all over the country, Nick never took the plunge into film making. The untimely death of his father changed that, providing the emotional heart for his first script.
Interested in stories that blend reality with fiction, in the Latin American tradition of magical realism, Nick's debut short film "The Flies" shows how grief can literally pour over into 'being'.
